Remediation of contaminated soil
CSC Land Restoration Ltd is a division of CSC Crop Protection and as such we are able to draw on a vast range of skills and capabilities that exist within CSC Crop Protection Group.
The services we offer include the reinstatement of old landfill sites for recreational or agricultural purpose and remediation of contaminated land, for which we operate a specialised remediation unit.
Soil Remediation Plant
CSC Land Restoration ensure that all work is carried out according to current legislation. Contaminated site remediation work is carried out under our Mobile Plant Licence - WML/E/0220166 - issued to us by SEPA on 19/01/05.
We have close relations with Edinburgh University's Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Research Centre (CLARRC).
GPS contaminant map
CSC Crop Protection already provides services in GPS soil sampling and pH and nutrient mapping. Many 1000s of hectares are mapped each year. From this information variable fertiliser application rates can be determined.
This service is extended by CSC Land Restoration Ltd to site and contaminated site investigation. We can survey by GPS and sample to depth.
Superimposed strata maps will show areas of contamination by hydrocarbons and PTEs. This will be combined with our electroconductivity system to identify subsoil characteristics.
